For reasons I never understood, the phrase I AM first entered my writing when I was 12. I am now 66 and still, she shows up. I AM grateful for her gentle reassurance. 🙏🏻
I like the mention of the sacred spark in everything and how everything is connected. The I AM in this poem reminds me of "I Am That" by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. A nice read on non-duality.

Beautiful!
Thank you, Mary! So grateful you've come, read and commented.

Love the way the ending resounds, either the challenge to “Fact check this.” Nice, Kim.
Thank you, Dear Mary. Any time I get a comment from you I feel like I've hit the mark.
Despite rules that tell us to "trust the reader" and "leave space for exploration", my poems often demand a bell-ringing at the end. I acquiesce. 😉
I’m so glad you do. ❤️
Hi Kim
as a woman with a zen practice for over 30 years all that you wrote here rings true. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Laura! A decades-long zen practice alters a person in the most wonderful ways. I can tell you are one.
