I really like this poem and your reading of it, Kim. I like the line "commuting crow's cries" as I can 'hear' their cawing in my mind. Summed up perfectly as truly:
"bliss
under brilliant blue skies"
Similarly, I am fortunate to witness large murders of crows make their twice daily commute to and from the surrounding farm fields here in Ottawa during the Winter.
I live near the edge of the city and each morning murders of crows will fly out to the farm fields looking for food. Each evening they make the return trip into the city. Fascinating and beautiful to see!
I loved this and hearing you read it, too.
Thank you, LeeAnn. Glad it meant something to you and that you shared that with me! 💛
Oh how fun is this poem!? It feels like a song!
Thank you, Maureen!!
It's got a lovely rhythm to it, very lively and upbeat. "commuting crows" is a delightful phrase.
Appreciate that Melanie! Needed something more upbeat!!
