Many of you know that I walk every day. I hit nature trails, beaches, parks and neighborhoods. I’ll walk anywhere. I walk everywhere.
I walk because it feels good. Good for my body. Good for my mind. Good for my soul. I’ve practiced to make walking an act of mindfulness. It’s both a meditation and a dedication to the fact that, despite sound bytes and news cycles, this is a wonderful, wonder-filled world; and I want to see it, participate in it, preserve it and improve it.
So I walk. And then I write. Or I paint - in an effort to manipulate the wonder.
Below is today’s contribution. Happy Monday!
It’s Simple ~ A Poem
It's simple. Much has been perfected Over time by -- choose your label -- Nature, Evolution, God, The Sublime Walking in it I look around I listen, taste, I smell, I embrace And when I pay attention Like this Our world astounds me So in response In honor, acclamation or homage I write a poem. It's simple.

To manipulate the wonder - like the way you put that!! In a way, we are reshaping wonder into poetry!
Lovely -- reminds me of Mary Oliver!
