I am, these days, a much-contented woman filled with wonder thanks to an inherent and fathomless curiosity. I’ve earned a deep appreciation for the simplest of things. (I can lift both arms to offer a hug, which has not always been the case.) I enjoy relationships with so many loving people, feel sometimes giddy at my good luck.
I was not always so content, and well-remember the black-dog days and eyes-wide-open nights when reasons for continuation were considered. Maybe the remembering amplifies the sparkle and shine of today’s goodness.
My friend
often shares stunning outdoor photos, and the one below beckoned to me. I began writing, and after many revisions and workshop feedback from friends over at Conscious Writers Collective, founded by , “How To Go On” has come this far.I welcome your insight, reactions, comments and critique.

How To Go On
Catch sight
Of night dew dancing on
Morning’s green leaves
First rays painting diamonds
on water, through trees
Simply
Believe the light
Bright
Streaming
Beaming
Promising
Not threatening
A new day
A new way
To stay
Thanks for being here, for reading my work and (in advance) for sharing your thoughts. Every interaction adds to the wonder and the growth.

This may be my favorite poem of yours, Kim. So, so beautiful. "Simply / Believe the light."
